Give your child something to
sing about in her own backyard. Be the flower from the "seed's"
perspective. Run and jump in rain puddles made from hula hoops. Snack on whole
wheat mini-waffles dipped in honey, just like a real honeycomb. Shoo real flies
and sing "Shoo Fly."
Pretend play and music makes the
most of a toddler's verbal and physical growth spurt. Plus the one-on-one time
away together gives your toddler the love and attention she craves.
Each Creatures
in my Backyard
lesson creates an informal, playful environment that encourages children to
contribute their original ideas, to experience new music activities, to
discover and explore new information, to work cooperatively with others, and to
keep their spontaneous music play and sense of wonder alive. Adventures camps are all about nurturing
creative thought and the creative potential that exists in every child.
