Both Hickory, Dickory, Tickle & Bounce & The Rhythm of My Day contain an introduction to basic American Sign Language. Signing offers families a way to communicate with their babies before the infants are ready to verbally talk. Research has shown that signing among “hearing” children can actually enhance their verbal communication skills. While Village signing is not designed to teach sign language, it will provide a small glimpse at the benefits of signing and a helpful introduction into the possibilities signing represents.
All activities, from the most intimate to the most rambunctious, are designed to help Baby move down that fascinating road of development.
