The concepts of Semester 1 are quickly reviewed, then we continue to add more notes, more complicated rhythm patterns and generally build on the previous semester activities. New musical concepts are introduced; including forte and piano, crescendo and diminuendo, and of course legato and staccato. We review the Percussion and Brass Wind families and add the String and Woodwind families and the Complete Orchestra through sound, pictures, demonstrations and even hands on experience, we also learn about the life and music of Beethoven, and even play Musical Baseball.
